Tonya Greene
EXECUTIVE EDUCATION CONSULTANT
Tonya Greene is a dedicated education professional with over two decades of experience in the field. As the Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Wake Technical Community College (Wake Tech), she plays a pivotal role in enhancing teaching and learning quality. Her career journey includes leading Wake Tech's First Year Academy and making significant contributions to early childhood education and ESL instruction.
Tonya's expertise extends to effective pedagogy, curricular assessment, and academic leadership, with a special emphasis on excellence in teaching and learning. She is passionate about creating engaging and supportive learning environments for students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults. As a facilitator of National On Course workshops, she is dedicated to promoting student success in higher education.
Holding a Master's degree in Education from UNC Greensboro, Tonya's focus areas include reading, developmental reading, and English as a Second Language (ESL). She also possesses a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-6) with a minor in Spanish. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in the Community College Leadership program at NC State's College of Education, where her research interests revolve around enhancing post-secondary teaching and learning through effective faculty professional development practices.
Tonya is committed to leveraging her extensive experience and insights to make a meaningful impact on the educational community, particularly in supporting the growth and development of young learners and their families.

Anitra Wilson
LEAD TEACHER / ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Anitra Wilson is a native of Clinton, North Carolina, who has spent over two decades dedicated to the growth and development of children. As a wife, mother of four, and grandmother of five, Anitra takes great joy in watching children learn and have fun. Her educational journey began as a bus driver and substitute teacher, culminating in a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2011. Committed to student development, Anitra carefully matches students with the resources they need to succeed.
Anitra's passion for singing, helping others, and learning new things is evident in her love for spending time with family and enjoying water scenery. Her guiding scriptures are Philippians 4:13 and Jeremiah 29:11, and she lives by the motto, 'It doesn't matter where you come from, but where you are going.'

Sarai Couch
ADMIN
Sarai Couch provides administrative support to Oaks Academy and Preschool. Sarai is a North Carolina native and has previously worked in education as a teacher, teaching 4th grade and Kindergarten. She developed a love for children from a very young age when she started working in childcare. She has over 12 years of experience in childcare working as a volunteer for the nonprofit organization SafeChild and has taken numerous child safety courses and child development classes. She currently still tutors previous students and loves working with special needs children.
